It's a cool, breezy day on D'Island, where many unique dragons reside. D'Island is a secret place, and its only known location is by these dragons and possibly- their friends. It looks much like a tropical island on the outside, small and resort. But once you walk through the palm trees, you'll realize there's more than meets the eye.
A sea-green dragon with purple wings and spikes walks quietly along the shore. His eyes are a bright blue, and seem to glow with ever-lasting energy. He sometimes skips along the shore, and flares up his wings when a cool breeze goes by, enjoying another ho-hum day on his home. Way better than being stuck at some stupid meeting, he thinks to himself.
"Pfft, as if, we all know Kade gets lost. He can try and act like he has no idea what we imply, but we all know that's why he was late." Comments a black dragoness with long, thin spikes going along her neck and back. She gives a smirk to her companion, a white dragoness with beautiful, glowing pink and green markings.
"Sure, Auros," said the white dragoness, Solna, "believe what you want. But what I believe happened was"
As they both walk onto the shore, the sea-green dragon, Skye, turns his head around to see his friends. His eyes light up, noticing neither of them know he's there, and a plan pops into his head. He quietly smirks, and then leaps up into the air with ease, heading out of sight.
"Ok, well, at least he got there. Now we just have to get" said Auros, her expression puzzled as she turns away from her friend, looking for the green dragon, "Skye." She snorts, annoyed, and turns back around. "I swear, Solna, I know he was justGAH!"
Something green fell on top of both Solna and Auros, and they both fell to the ground in shock. Auros shouted an unrepeatable word, while Solna just shut her eyes and folded in her wings.
"HA! I got you both! I was hoping for a much better reaction to the shock, but meh, I guess those will do," said Skye, still lying on top of the dragonesses. He put his head in the palm of his paw, smirking.
Auros, being the most annoyed, let out a dramatic huff, and said with a struggling voice, "It's not the fact that you scared us
it's the fact that you're
Skye simply stayed where he was, acting as if he never heard Auros. He acted as if where he was the most comfortable spot in the world, even though he could feel Auros's spikes poking at his belly plates, and her bLack, long talons trying to poke and scratch at his under belly plates.
could you get off?" whispered Solna, her eyes still closed shut and wings still tucked into her side.
"Sure. But what's the magic word?"
"Please. Skye. NOW." Grunted Auros through gritted teeth.
With a snicker, Skye lightly leaped off his friends and onto the sand.
As Auros got up, she shot a glaring glance at Skye, and then shook off the sand from her scales. Solna shut her eyes again, afraid of sand getting in her eyes.
"Great, now I'll have sand in between my scales for a week
" growled Auros.
"Skye, we thought you'd hear at least one of us calling your name," said Solna quickly, before Auros could start arguing with the green dragon, "I mean, even Kade showed up before you. You're usually the first one there."
Skye just rolled his eyes. He did hear one of them calling from the waterfall, but today, he just wasn't up for another boring meeting.
"Yeah, yeah, I know"
"If you knew, then you should've shown up, not make us come down here to get you," said Auros, seething.
Solna sighed. "Come on, let's fly. We better get there before Voleon and Kade burn down the jungle."
With that, Solna lifted up her wings and took off, followed closely by Auros. Skye sighed, and then reluctantly followed, taking the lead as he usually did.
"So, we'll make sure to have extra patrols around the borders of the island to make sure these 'globs' don't infect the plant life. Because if they do
" Solna seemed to goo quieter in thought, and a hint of fear flickered in her eyes. Then she shook her head and continued, "Skye, Auros, you two will take up the north end of the island. Kade and I will keep track of the south. And Voleon will take up the West, while Asin watches the East, since there's been little activity in those areas." Solna took a deep breath, and exhaled, taking in the relaxing scent of the rushing waterfall behind her. She'd been going over this plan in her head for the entire day, and she finally had it planned out.
She looked around her, looking for anyone to object or maybe suggest something.
Kade's cat-like eyes just closed as he nodded, as if he was observing a map in his head. Skye and Auros just gave each other high-paws, excited. Voleon just nodded, glancing to Asin, who just smiled and agreed as well.
Solna smiled kindly, saying "Alright, then. We will each switch our places each day, understood?"
Suddenly Skye's eyes lit up, and Solna saw the question coming. "But, will we ever, you know
just have time to relax?"
"Of course," said Solna quietly," they're not going to be attacking twenty-four seven."
"But, I mean, all of us, together. You know, like
before this 'glob' problem happened?"
Solna's eyes grew sad. She didn't think anything would go back to normal, how things were 'before'.
"I don't know Skye
" she said quieter than normal. Once she felt everyone's eyes on her, she immediately stood up and ordered them to go to their places. When she turned around to fly to her post with Kade, she glanced back at her friends.
Please be safe.
